Philosophy
 Busy Bodies Learning Centre believes in the development of the entire child. We believe children are unique and develop in their own way and pace. Children learn best in an environment that is nurturing, warm, encourages self- discipline and self respect.In practicing our beliefs we provide a warm and stimulating setting that will develop and strengthen your child`s social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Our program focuses on the development of a well rounded and self confident child. Busy Bodies Learning Centre provides the foundation needed for your child to grow and develop a positive attitude for life long learning, while having fun and making life lasting memories.
About The Centre
 We offer half day 3 hour programs (mornings and afternoons) to children 2 to 5 years of age. The centre is licenced under the Day Nursery Act. We are inspected annually by the Ministry of Community & Social Services. We do not require your child to be toilet trained. The centre has a 1:8 teacher to child ratio with a maximum of 16. Busy Bodies Learning Centre implements a “ skill based program” geared to specific developmental levels of your child. We have carefully selected objectives using a variety of developmental learning tools, to ensure we are meeting the needs of you child. We provide age appropriate activities to strengthen your child`s social / emotional, cognitive and intellectual growth. Formal developmental reviews will occur twice a year.
Staff
 All staff have Early Childhood Education Diplomas / degrees and have completed Criminal Reference Checks & Vulnerable Sector Screen approved before commencing employment. All staff have a valid CPR and First Aid Certificates. The staff are trained in learning the Fire Safety Plan prior to commencing employment. Our staff provide a warm, friendly and positive atmosphere. We believe in having a partnership with parents in working together to provide a consistent , fun, and balanced program to meet your child`s needs.
Nutrition
 Nutritious snacks are served to all children and prepared following the Canada Food Guide. Menus are posted in advance and follow a 4 week rotation. Busy Bodies Learning Centre is a PEANUT FREE environment. Peanut products are not allowed in the centre.
Policy on Fees / Payments / Withdrawls
 A $40 non-refundable registration fee is required to secure enrollment for your child. All child Information/Health forms completed upon registration. A series of post dated cheques dated for the 1st of each month is required upon registration. Receipts are issued twice a year (Jan. & June ) Returned cheques are subject to a $20 admin. fee.
Holidays / Closures
The centre will be closed if the Halton District School Board cancels the schools in the Oakville / Burlington area due to weather conditions. We are closed 2 weeks at Christmas and closed for all statutory holidays. We will remain open for March Break for parents who require our service. Sign up for our summer programs for July and August
